Ft Lauderdale. I have never really been a fan of ft.Lauderdale. I dont understand the beach scene and the city is too spread out to enjoy it all. But I do like this gloomy area right at the beach with all the run down and tatty hotels. Great atmosphere.
Atlantic Bar, Condado, PR. The hotel is still there and the bar is open. I finish my day with a margarita at the Atlantic Bar. I have not been here in years. Use to have so much fun. Within a half hour I have three margaritas, meet people and I don't feel like leaving.
Ocean Park Beach, Puerto Rico. I used to visit San Juan a lot when I worked in St. Martin and it feels so good to be back on the island. I love San Juan. When I would visit, I would go out, go to the gym, do the beach... things like that. One time I stayed at the Numero Uno guest house, that now has tables and chairs on the beach and serves a great lunch. Perfect for people watching an enjoying the view. Life is so good!
Ocean Park Beach, Puerto Rico, BDI=10. Less than a 15 minute drive from the airport is Ocean Park beach. It is a gorgeous day in Puerto Rico and I am so excited to be back in the Caribbean. There is latin musci on the beach and the sea is so fantastic. What a great idea to pop over for a day.
Ft. Lauderdale to San Juan. I have booked a day return to San Juan on Jet Blue. I have never flown them and am excited to try them. For 25 dollars extra I am seated in the section with 38 inches of leg room. And I am the only one there. It's in the morning but I keeping European time, so I am having a few glasses of wine while flying my favorite route in the world. The view to San Juan is amazing as you fly over all the of the Bahama's. Less than 5 minutes after touch down I am in a taxi on my way to the beach!
This blog is about beaches and travel. Those are my passion, I am always looking for great beautiful beaches. You'll see me rating beaches with the Beach Day Index (BDI), which includes, weather, water, sand, company, wind, mood, music, drinks and everything that has an influence on the experience. The BDI (Beach Day Index) goes from 1 to 10 for a perfect day.
