Room with a view

Istanbul Hilton, May 17-May 19. To me this is the best hotel in the world. I have seen quite q fw hotels but this one combines, location, luxury, facilities and services. A bit decadent, yes, but wonderful to indulge in, especially while staying at the club floor. This was my room view this time, simply amazing.

Hilton Pool Istanbul

Istanbul May 17th. I have flown this morning from Ankara to Istanbul where I meet my friend Matt to stay a few days at the Hilton Istanbul on the Executive floor. The weather is gorgeous and Hilton's pool, one of the best in Istanbul, is open so we spend an afternoon in the sun.

Ankara

Ankara, May 14 - May 17. I have flown to Ankara Turkey where I am staying three nights for work. I have been a few times in Ankara before and dont think it is a nice city. But this trip the weather is just fantastic and I stay at the posh Hilton that is located in a very nice area with great shopping and beautiful lawns. I really enjoy my few days here.

Boring?

Zandvoort, May 10th (sunday), BDI=9. I was on the beach really early today, around 8:45. And it looked like this. Amazing!





Zandvoort, May 10th BDI=9. Yet another fabulous beach day for the Netherlands. At this point I must be the only reader of this blog, because it is just more of the same.. all the time. I do not recall a rainy weekend it has been beautiful now for ages. Actually quite remarkable because the Netherlands isn't really known for its good weather. My friend Matt is in the UK right now and says it has been rainy and dark all the time there, and this is just a few hundred miles away. I guess we have lucked out this year.

Typical Day

Zandvoort, May 9th, BDI=8. A typical Day with a nice twist. It started cloudy in the city, but once at the beach it turned nice. The beach stays empty on days like this and its one of those reare places where I can totally relax, read the paper, have something to eat and get back to myself. I stayed until about 2 pm, which is longer than I usually stay, I like the mornings on the beach.

Empty

Zandvoort, May 4th, BDI=9. Despite moderate forecast, it's another fantastic day in the Netherlands. The temperature has dropped a bit, it's about 14 degrees. But out of the wind, the day could not be better. I am enjoying another 3 hours or so and the beach is empty, for most of the time I am the only one at the beach club. This is the way I like the beach most.

Beach Recovery

Zandvoort, May2nd, BDI=8. Despite having my friends stay at my place -who don't wake up early- I have to go to the beach this morning. It's the best place to recover from days of fun and drinking. It's a great day, nice and quiet and I enjoy about three hours of sun before returning to the city.

BBQ

Amsterdam, May 1st. Despite being not in the best shape today, its a day full of fun and we end with a BBQ at Julia and Marcel who live in Amsterdam North. It continues to be a fantastic sunny and warm day.
