Too Much

Zandvoort, April 24th, BDI=9. Seriously this has to stop. I am living in Northern Europe and it should rain be dark and cold, windy and miserable! Instead it has been non stop sunny, hot and fabulous for the last weeks. There has not been a cloud let alone rain, it has been perfect beach weather continously. This is no way to get people interested in my blog, if all I do is return to the same beach, with the same weather and the same pics. Sorry guys. Why should I travel, the Dutch weather is now so perfect I dont think there is another place in the world where I would want to be. Located at no more than 30 minutes by train from the city centre of Amsterdam, you will find the most beautiful beach, prefect weather,fantastic beach club and amazing view you can imagine. There is no reason what so ever to travel anywhere else. Today was another day of too much of everything, sun, wine and fun.

another fabulous beach day

Zandvoort, April, BDI=9. It's all getting a bit more of the same this blog, but that is what the weather has been in the last month or so. Beach season has started full force with non-stop sunny days, clear skies, calm sea and empty beaches. This blog must be the best promotion for the Netherlands as a beach destination, but it's true, it has been a spectacular spring. I am so tan by now! Today is wednesday, my day off and it's another fabulous day on the beach. Got there around 10 and stayed 3 or 4 hours, just fantastic.

Full Day on the Beach

Zandvoort, April 19th, BDI=9. What a great and fun day on the beach today. I arrived in the morning and for the first time this year sat on the beach beds, although a bit windy, it was perfect to sit there. Around 1 pm my co-worker and friend Bjorn joined me and later another friend came. Too bad it got a bit cloudy at the end of the day, by which we had been drinking so much wine that we didnt really care so much anymore. Also for the first time this year I was there until sunset. What a fun day!

Gorgeous Day

Zandvoort, April 18th, BDI 9+. It's another fantastic weekend in the Netherlands, this month is the sunniest and warmest April on record and we are just over half of the month. I have been so many times to the beach already, it's not funny anymore. Today is another gorgeous day and very quiet. It's is so clear and crisp, it makes me think of Fire Island New York.

Summerly

Zandvoort, 15 April, BDI=8. I have the luck of only working 4 days a week and Wednesday is my day off, the weekend feeling is never far away. Today is the hottest day of many beautiful days, it's summerly with temperatures up to 25 degress, sunny and easterly wind, which will prevent sea mist. I arrive early on the beach around 10 am, have a coffee, read, take a nap on the beach, have a glass of wine and a salad and sleep some more on the beach. I prefer laying in the sand over sitting in a beach chair and today was the first day of the season I could do that. It's a staggering six months ago I could do that here in Zandvoort. Despite the great weather, it's just not the same as the Miami beach I was at, just a month ago. There the light is so bright and crisp, but having this beach only 30 minutes from my home is that bad either.
