Istanbul, Hilton Pool. If I would be rating pools -and I think I should by introducting the Pool Day Index (PDI)- then the Istanbul Hilton pool is rating very high. It is part of the original structure that was built over 50 years ago and represents Conrad Hilton's foot print. It's not only large, it is extremely glamorous in it's design. More than that it also offer a great pool scene with a nice mix of 'old world' regulars, hotel guests and Hilton's staff around the pool. The pool is very busy during weekends but busy in a good way, and empty on weekdays. It's not over the top luxerious, the pool beds are down right cheap, so it creates a very social and friendly atmosphere. It catches sun from the early morning to sunset and the fact that it is in the middel of a very hot and busy city makes it even more attractive.
This blog is about beaches and travel. Those are my passion, I am always looking for great beautiful beaches. You'll see me rating beaches with the Beach Day Index (BDI), which includes, weather, water, sand, company, wind, mood, music, drinks and everything that has an influence on the experience. The BDI (Beach Day Index) goes from 1 to 10 for a perfect day.
