Ams-Ist, June 27th. I am on my way to Istanbul for a four day visit. I have chosen the Turkish Airlines flights that is operated with a wide body A340. I love to fly a big plan on a relatively short (4 hour) flight. It's obvious that the flight is full and I contemplate asking for an upgrade, but decide not to bother. Then I hear my name called shortly before boarding and I am upgraded without even asking for it. Although the flight is operated as a two class flight, the aircraft is configured in three classes and I find myself in a first class seat. What a treat!
