Istanbul, Sunday. My friend Serdar has come over to the Hilton and we have been drinking Champagne at the executive lounge. When Serdar wants to smoke we go to my room and sit on the balcony. Savas who works in the executive floor lounge brings us a bottle of champagne to the room, without us having asked for it. This is typical for this hotel. Every time the hotel staff surprises you with something anticipating your needs, so fabulous. So we sit on the balcony smoking and drinking champagne, looking at Istanbul by night. It's obviously wedding season and now and then we have fantastic displays of fire work that are part of some wedding ceremony somewhere.
