Tour of Amsterdam

Amsterdam, October 29th. It is wednesday and I have a day off. Although it is fall, it is sunny and warm and perfect for a tour of Amsterdam by bike combining fun, food and shopping. The trip starts in fashionable Jordaan, then to industrial Noord and back through the shopping district. Bicycle is needed and the free ferry system of Amsterdam helps too. It's good to see that the hysteria has left Amsterdam. Despite the good weather you terraces are empty and the city feels nice and quiet. After having lived in the city of cities (NYC) I keep looking for those days where a city feels intimate. New York always got that feeling. It felt like an inspiring, energetic place, but it had great routine ass a city. Amsterdam is all over the place and goes from hysteria to boring in a day.

Walk in Amsterdam

Amsterdam, October 25th. It felt like srping today nd it certainly looked like it. I started the day with a jog through my neighborhood and we spent most of the day walking the city. Amsterdam is made for days like this when averyone is out, the city looks its best and there is no agenda and no must do, must see or must go's. I can miagine that if you visit Amsterdam for the first time and it is a day like today, you'll fall in love with the city.

Cold but Clear

Zandvoort, October 22nd, Beach Day Index = 8. A nice surprise. Suddenly it is a sunny day. It is cold about 13 degrees and when we arrive at the beach around 10 an, it is nit that pleasant with a lot of wind. But the day is so clear that colors of the beach hare amazing and by the time we leave it is nice, more sunny and the sun feels warm.
